The team at Wildcard took it to heart when they heard the news that their idol growing up had died all too early. Michael Jackson was a music legend and the only thing he was guilty of was giving his soul up to the media in return for pain and humiliation.
He was taken away from us all too soon but his music will live within us for long after we leave. We love you Michael and in your honor we have designed some commemorative t-shirts with a portion of all proceeds going to the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Our very good friend Trevor Boris stopped by the Comedy Nest here in Montreal recently to present his one-man stand-up show! In fact, our own Paul The Wall got to hang out with Trev and present him the new Wildcard Summer 2009 collection. The Wildcard Boys were also invited to attend his show and were treated to a nice surprise when Trevor introduced them to the sold-out crowd!

Wildcard MTL Love Inc. is extremely honoured to have met the legendary Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated American film director, Spike Lee! In fact, our own Paul The Wall was on hand to greet Spike on his most recent trip to Montreal.
Noted for his films dealing with controversial social and political issues, Mr. Lee was invinted by Concordia University to present a lecture as part of Black History Month. In fact, over 1000 students jam-packed the Concordia Auditorium to listen to his speech. His impact on film history has been undeniable, and we would like to thank him once again for spreading the MTL Love with us!
We are excited to announce that Wildcard was featured on EyeCrave.net! In fact, Wildcard was discussed by columnist Jesse Corbeil in his report on the huge Warner Brothers’ RockNRolla Party that took place at Montreal’s famed Hard Rock Cafe.
The article went on to describe Wildcard as “the rockin’ tees that so many of Hollywood’s glitterati are wearing”. We’d like to thank the whole crew at EyeCrave again for spreading the MTL Love!
The Warner Brothers’ RocknRolla DVD release party was a huge success. Held at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Montreal, the event was attended by the elite of the Montreal media.
Wildcard sponsored their unique premium quality t-shirts to all attendees and garnished great reviews. The press was impressed with the look and feel of the tees and even more impressed was Chris from Warner Brothers (who also was the presenter for the night). He loved the shirts so much he wore it throughout the event.
RocknRolla, a Guy Ritchie movie, will be realeased on DVD and Blu-Ray on January 27th. The DVD releases announced yesterday include classics like Get Smart, The Smurfs and the 10th year edition of The Matrix which is now being released on Blu-Ray and includes over 8 hours of additional footage.
